‘File’ type fields are used in the system for uploading and downloading files.

 Note: extensions for uploading files can be restricted in the Upload file types settings 

By default fields of this type on input forms are displayed as input box with 'Browse' button to indicate a file to be uploaded, e.g. “Display Resume”:

         

         

Displayed as checkbox on search forms (if this box is checked the system will search for listings with attached files), e.g. with uploaded Resumes:

         

and ‘file’ type field is displayed as a link to download a file on display listing pages, in User Info section:

         

To edit a ‘file’ type field in the Admin Panel you need to click on the Edit icon opposite this particular field. E.g. to edit Resume field you need to go to Listing Configuration > Listing Types > Resume > "Edit" icon.

There will be the form opened where you can modify the ‘file’ type field parameters and set the ‘Maximum File Size’ limit.

       

By default the maximum size of the file Users are allowed to upload is set to 200kb. To change this limit you need to enter another value to the “Maximum File Size" field.
Below this field there is the information about maximum file size allowed to be uploaded according to the configuration of your server. In the example above it is set to 2 megabytes.

After you finished editing the field parameters, press the “Save” button.
