Version 4.2

New Features

  • Social Media in Admin Panel – all social plugins (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+) are integrated in the core of software and not considered as plugins anymore. All the settings related to a particular social network are located in ‘Social Media’ section of Admin Panel.
  • Automatic jobs export to Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn for admin – admin can set up job export feeds so the system automatically exports jobs to the relevant admin accounts on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
  • Job posting to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+ for users - after a job is posted, employers will have an option to post this job to their social media accounts easily not leaving your job board.
  • Google+ Connect – changed the authorization/registration method from Google to Google+.
  • Posting before checkout – in case admin enables this setting, users will be allowed to post jobs or resumes before paying for them. After a job or resume is posted, users will have to pay for it to activate it.
  • ‘My Reports’ for Employers – employers have got a new section in their accounts to check stats on posted jobs and view general performance reports.
  • Download resume as PDF – job board resumes can be downloaded in PDF file for future review.
  • Promotions logs and statistics – admin can check the stats on promotion codes usage and logs of users used the codes from Admin Panel.
  • Promotion code usage limitation – admin can limit the maximum number of allowed promotion code usages. Applied promotion codes will be visible for users in Shopping Cart together with the discount they provide.
  • Option to select expiration date for jobs – employers can select whether a job will expire after maximum allowed activity period or sooner.
  • Display Currency Sign setting – admin can set up the currency sign to be displayed before amount or after it. This setting is specific for each language.
  • ‘Manage Listings’ section of Admin Panel is divided on ‘Manage Jobs’ and ‘Manage Resumes’ sections for better admin experience.
  • ‘Juju’ job source plugin – the plugins allows to backfill jobs from Juju job aggregator (www.job-search-engine.com).
  • Static content for 404 error page – the error page is displayed in the frameworks of your job board instead of a white screen and it has alternative links for a user to follow. Admin can change the content of this page.
  • Autobackup – from now on admin should not worry about making backups manually. He can set up the system to backup automatically once in a selected period.

Improvements

  • Search engine optimization – SmartJobBoard search engine is now optimized and works faster.
  • Optimization and improvement of software architecture – improved performance and stability.
  • Radio buttons option for ‘List’ fields – admin can select whether a field should be displayed as dropdown list or as radio-buttons.
  • Checkboxes option for ‘Multi-list’ fields – admin can select whether a field should be displayed as dropdown multi-list or as a list with checkboxes.
  • Improvements for ‘My Listings’ – in case a user is allowed to post several listing types (for example Jobs and Tenders) he will have separate sections in the account (My Jobs and My Tenders) to manage posted listings.
  • Upgrades to featured/priority listing and reactivation are now going through shopping cart – it is possible to apply promotions to upgrades and reactivations and buy several upgrades at once.
  • Email settings check button – in admin email settings there is a button allowing to check automatically whether the email settings are set up correctly and function or not.
  • ‘Application Tracking’ section layout is improved – employers will clearly see what job seeker for what jobs applied.
  • Added ‘Job-a-matic domain’ for SimplyHired plugin – for proper functioning of the plugin US SimplyHired publishers.
  • When a user clicks ‘Post Jobs’ button and does not have any products he will be redirected to the ‘Products’ page listing the products allowing to post.
  • When a guest user selects products and then go to checkout and register he will be redirected to the page with the list of payment gateways to pay through.
  • ‘Youtube’ field for user profiles – admin can add ‘Youtube’ filed to a user profile.
  • Redirection directly to the payment gateway in case only one payment gateway is enabled – users will not see a page with the list of payment gateways before checkout in case only one gateway is enabled.
  • Column with number of posted listings under a product in the list of products in Admin Panel – admin can see how many listings were posted under each product.
  • Invoice for free products – even if a product is free or a user applies 100% discount promotion code the system will create an invoice.
  • Cron tasks unification – now all Cron tasks are unified and can be run simultaneously by single Task Scheduler request.
  • Changed video player for better multimedia experience.
  • Changed the way videos are displayed in listings and company profiles.
  • PayPal Pro payment gateway is improved to match PayPal requirements.
  • Timeout for buttons – now the most critical buttons connected to payments and creation of entities have timeout so a user could not click on a button twice and create two entities or submit payments twice.
  • ‘Move’ option for Countries/States lists in Admin Panel – admin can easily and quickly change the order of the Countries/States from Admin Panel.
  • Unified and improved pagination in Admin Panel – the pagination in Admin Panel for all sections looks and functions the same way. Turning pages is made easier.
  • Tree field design and usability is improved.
  • Multi-list fields design and usability is improved.
  • Smarty template engine is updated to version 3 to make the development experience more comfortable.
  • Session is bound to IP address for better user security.
  • After 5 unsuccessful attempts to login to Admin Panel user will have to enter Captcha. This makes Admin Panel more secure.
  • Default zoom for maps is set up to see a larger location area than before.
  • ‘Resend’ button for Email Log – admin can resend any emails directly from Email Log.
