Version 4.1

New Features

  • Location field – Now it is much easier to search jobs and resumes by Location. Location field type now allows to search by Country, State, State Code, City, Zip Code in one single field. When users type a location in the search field they will be able to choose a needed location from a number of options suggested by the system
  • Country and State/Region lists – admin can upload a single list of Countries that will be available for users on registration, job/resume search and posting forms. For each Country it is possible to add States/Regions so once a Country is selected it is possible to select States/Regions specific to this Country. Admin can manage the Country and States/Regions lists from Admin Panel. It is also possible to set up a default Country to make posting and registration process easier. By default we have uploaded a full list of countries and full list of US statesin the system
  • Invoices – substantial change in the billing system. Now each transaction is documented by an invoice. Each time a user purchases a product an invoice is created in the system. A user can view, print and export to PDF his invoices from the appropriate section of his ‘My Account’. He can pay for the pending invoices immediately or later. Admin can manage invoices from Admin Panel > Billing > Invoices. Admin can create an invoice for a user and send it to him by email. Once the invoice is paid admin will see that invoice status has changed to ‘Paid’
  • Taxes – admin can set up certain tax rules for different countries and states. The system will bill users according to these tax rules
  • PayPal Pro – integrated new payment gateway in the system. Users can use this payment gateway for making fixed and recurring payments for products and services
  • Payment Log – added a section in Admin Panel > Billing. In this section admin can track down the gateway responses from different payment gateways and undertake appropriate actions if needed
  • Guest Email Alerts – guest users can now subscribe for job/resume alerts. Admin can manage Guest Alerts from Admin Panel > Users > Guest Email Alerts
  • Job/resume posting right after registration – if an option ‘After registration redirect to‘ is set up as ‘Posting Page’ in the Admin Panel > User Group settings, the users wil be redirected to the posting page right after registration. This is only possible if a ‘Default Product’ allowing to post is set up for this User Group. If a user group doesn't have any default products allowing to post users will be redirected to the ‘Products’ page first
  • Cookie Law compatibility – if this option is enabled from Admin Panel > System Settings > Security - your website will be fully compatible with the EU law about cookies. Users will be asked for their consent to use cookies when they visit the website for the first time. The system will explain users what is ‘cookie’ in general, what cookies we use and will propose to agree with usage of cookies or refrain
  • Admin Panel translation made easy – now all the phrases in the system are divided in 2 domains: frontend and backend. Admin can translate backend phrases directly from Admin Panel. He can set up a certain language to be active for Admin Panel and select this language in the language menu before and after login
  • ‘Manage Users’ section in Admin Panel is divided in 2 different sections: ‘Manage Job Seekers’ and ‘Manage Employers’ – now admin can manage users of different user groups separately. He can also see the Company name and Job Seeker name in the table
  • Users/listings import is adapted for transfer from Jamit – created an additional hidden system field "Ext user ID". This field makes possible association between imported Jamit users and their listings
  • Keywords Search in attached files (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, pdf) – if this setting is enabled from Admin Panel > System Settings > General the system will search for keywords in the files attached to jobs/resumes as well
  • Job/resume posting from Admin Panel – admin can select a user he wants to post a job/resume from and create a listing from Admin Panel
  • Google Analytics plugin – admin can enter his tracking ID for Google Analytics in Admin Panel. Once it is entered Google Analytics tracking code would be automatically placed in index.php file and admin will be able to track Google Analytics statistics in his GA account
  • Profiler utility – it can be enabled from Admin Panel > System Settings > Performance. This utility helps to gather information on website performance, resources usage, frequence of different functions calls, number of DB queries etc.

Improvements

  • Search by job/resume ID - if you know an ID of a job or resume you can enter this ID in the ‘Keywords’ field and find this relevant listing
  • Job search by Company Name and resume search by Last Name entered in the ‘Keywords’ field – if a user knows a company name or last name of a job seeker he can find relevant jobs/resumes in the system by entering the name in the ‘Keywords’ field
  • Convertation of uploaded logos in PNG – a logo uploaded to the system is now automatically converted to PNG
  • Improved ‘Modify Expiration date’ function in Admin Panel – now admin can select jobs/resumes and modify their expiration dates by selecting a date in the popup. The expiration date for these listings will be changed for the selected date
  • Featured/Priority posting period limitation – if this setting is enabled in product settings a job/resume will be featured/priority for a certain period and after this period they will become ordinary postings
  • Automatic subscription of registedred users for Newsletter – if this setting is enabled all the newly registered users will be automatically subscribed for MailChimp list after registration
  • Transaction ID – added a ‘Transaction ID’ column in the Transaction History table in Admin Panel. Now admin can track down the transaction IDs coming from payment gateways
  • Automatically detect mobile device and switch to mobile version – once this option in the settings of a Mobile Version is enabled users visitng your website from mobile devices will be automatically redirected to the Mobile Version
  • IDs of User Groups and Listing Types are now made not editable. These are system values that cannot be changed. If they are changed the system can work unpredictably
  • ‘Post under product‘ setting for XML import – now admin can select a product under which all the imported jobs/resumes will be posted from
  • Highlights for templates editor in Admin Panel – now admin can comfortably edit System Templates from Admin Panel viewing highlighted code
  • Listing Views in the system are now counted not after a page is refreshed but by visitor’s IP once a day
  • ‘Posting Limit’ setting for Twitter plugin – admin can set up a number of listings to be posted on Twitter per day
  • Added ‘Edit User Profile Fileds’ button in the list of User Groups in Admin Panel for quicker access to the profile fields
  • Added a ‘Product’ column in Manage Listings table in Admin Panel – it displays a product under which a certain job/resume was posted
  • Improvements for ‘Email Log’ – besides date of the email we have also added the exact time of delivery. If an email is undelivered the status is clickable and when it is clicked it shows the undelivery reason in popup
  • Improvement for XML import – in case in the XML feed there are listings that were already imported in the system – they will be automatically updated but not posted as new listings
  • ‘Expired Listings from XML Feed will be’ setting for XML import – admin can choose what the system should do with the expired listings imported through XML feed previously. When admin sets up a new import he can choose whether the old listings that have not came in the new import will be deleted from the system or left till their actual expiration
  • Login Request for Guests when they apply – a new permission option for Guest user group ‘Apply for a job’ permission. If this option is selected Guest users wil see ‘Apply Now’ button on the job posting and once they click it they will be asked to login or register in the popup
  • Improvements for ‘Manage Phrases’ section of Admin Panel – added pagination. Also if a phrase that needs to be translated is clicked it appears in a popup in selected language but not in all the available languages
  • Fields size on search forms is unified – now all the fields have the same size
  • Indeed plugin improvements – adapted the plugin to the latest requirements of Indeed
  • Zip Code database improvement – added additional columns in the Zip Code database: City, State, State Code, Country. This enables much more flexible search by Location including radius search. It also makes possible to display suggested locations to users when they start filling the Location field. Uploaded a fresh complete DB of Zip Codes for the United States
